Description
This is an agreement between Cubic, a contactless electronic fare payment system vendor who provides complete back office financial services, and CTA and Pace. Cubic owns and maintains the on–board and station card readers and processes the fares, while cash fareboxes are owned and maintained by the transit agencies. This could be expanded to Metra if they find Cubic services meet their needs. Cubic's fare media is branded Ventra.
