Description
The Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois Department of Revenue participated in the implementation of an on–line International Fuel Tax Agreement ("IFTA") electronic credentialing system to allow motor carriers to apply for a new IFTA license and make payments on–line, allow motor carriers to submit IFTA license renewal transactions and associated payments on–line, allow motor carriers to submit IFTA quarterly tax filings and associated payments on–line, and allow cross–verification of other credentials prior to issuing IFTA licenses and renewals. This was jointly developed by IDOR and IDOT.
