Description
The Illinois Department of Transportation ITS Program Office has added an online Lane Closure System available at www.idotlcs.com. Contractors register with the system and enter closure requests online. IDOT D1 staff then review the closure requests and approve or reject the closures. The system sends out email communications to contractors information them of their closure request status. Daily closure reports are also sent to the Gateway, other IDOT staff and interested third parties.

| MCM Roadway Maintenance | 'MCM Roadway Maintenance' provides overall management and support for routine maintenance on a roadway system or right–of–way. Services managed include landscape maintenance, hazard removal (roadway debris, dead animals), routine maintenance activities (roadway cleaning, grass cutting), and repair and maintenance of non–ITS equipment on the roadway (e.g., signs, gantries, cabinets, guard rails, etc.). Environmental conditions information is also received from various weather sources to aid in scheduling routine maintenance activities.
